Due to current restrictions in place at Santa Anita Park as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as recent changes in the 2020 thoroughbred auction calendar, Fasig-Tipton announced today the cancellation of its 2020 Santa Anita Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale.  The auction had been scheduled for June 3 in Arcadia, California. Updated Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sales Dates

In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Fasig-Tipton has adjusted its 2020 Midlantic sales dates. The company's Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale will now be held a week later, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26-27, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland.  The under tack show will be conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 21-23.  The auction had previously been scheduled for May 18 and 19. The Gulfstream Sale Cancelled Due to COVID-19

"While disappointing, canceling the Gulfstream Sale is the most prudent and responsible decision we can make in light of the rapidly changing circumstances associated with COVID-19," said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning.  "With the facility closures at Gulfstream, it prevents us from conducting the auction.  The health and welfare of all sale participants, both human and equine, is always our highest priority." Fasig-Tipton & Keeneland to Revise Funding Procedures for Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA)

Fasig-Tipton Company, Inc. and Keeneland Association representatives announced today revised procedures to provide funding to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA).  Beginning with the 2020 yearling sales, all sellers/owners will be charged .05% of the sales price (for example, $50 on a $100,000 sale) on each horse sold at public auction with the two companies.
